Dearest Reader, My son started kindergarten this month, and when I tell you this rocked our little family...we got our asses handed to us. I knew it would be a transition for us, all big changes are. We each have to adjust individually, and then we have to adjust as a unit. It's a lot. So I knew this month would be logistically heavy. Our school does this thing called gradual entry, where the kids and teachers ease into it together, an hour a day, for the first week. They started September 9th. His first full day wasn't until September 16th. And then, right on schedule, I got sick. Like, really sick. Which normally would have set me back big time, because here's what's also true right now: I have clients to serve That's a lot for one person. But two things saved me this week. One, I've been getting bite sized, actionable tips delivered straight to my inbox every single day, because I'm a smart founder who signed up for Stacy Eleczko's Business Growth Simplified extravaganza. You should too. Two, I designed a sales system (the actual decisions, judgments, steps and tools I use to close deals) that runs even on the days when I've only got 30% in the tank. Which has been virtually every day this past week. Anyway, all of that got me thinking about how years ago, Feast and Famine met, they fell in love, had a baby, and named her Entrepreneurship. Most people with a lapel mic and a ring light will tell you the fix is more leads. Go ahead and pour more water into a leaky bucket if that's your thing. But every founder I watch actually avoid feast or famine has two things in common: At least one cash lever they can pull that has never touched an algorithm. Now you know me well enough to know I wouldn't bring up something this juicy and leave you hanging. So brace yourself, because I'm about to hand you a ton of value at once. Algo proof your lead gen: Operationalize your referrals. LinkedIn Live + Field Guide Ensure your DMs don't bomb. LinkedIn Live + Field Guide How to Win Friends and Government Contracts. LinkedIn Live happening Sept 22 @ 10am PT/1pm ET And last thing, because apparently I cannot stop launching things this month: October 22nd, 2pm ET, I'm running a workshop called Feast or Famine? We Don't Know Her. One hour. $49 USD. I'm capping attendance at 30 people and there will be no replay. You walk out knowing exactly which decisions/steps in your sales system you've actually made, which ones you're guessing at, and which ones don't exist yet, before your next dead month shows up uninvited. Registration link coming soon. Go easy on yourselves this week. Or don't, and just come build the system with me on Oct 22nd instead. Either way, you'll be seeing a lot of me over the next month. I hope the same can be said of you :) Until next week, happy selling Talica |
